The Caribbean Hook Bracelet
These bracelets first became popular on St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands to celebrate love and good fortune.
Legend has it that if you wear the Hook facing toward your heart, your heart is taken and good
fortune will come your way. If you wear the Hook away from your heart, you are available and
sharing your good fortune.
The traditional Horseshoe design was introduced to the Caribbean over 40 years ago, and since then,
new island designs have become popular including the Fish Hook, Lover's Knot, Gecko and Dolphin bracelets.
